Hey Ya'll

What else is there to do on a Saturday afternoon than to get into your sisters' dress-up clothes......

Yesterday Tyra brought home a tree from school and was to plant it for Earth Day tomorrow. We did so...will it last...no idea as Dad is not here to help us plant this tree, so the chance of it surviving are actually probably slim to minimal!! We can say at least we tried though! Pluto and Bradyn definitely enjoyed their brief outing though! Pluto was even nice enough to water the tree for us to save us from walking back inside to fetch some water!!

You get a line and I'll get a pole, Honey,You get a line and I'll get a pole, Babe. You get a line and I'll get a pole,We'll go fishin' in the crawdad hole,Honey, Baby mine.

How about this finding in our yard today when I was picking up sticks!! Wait until the girls find out what this is....Phillip, Tyra will be like you with bacon on a string!!! hahahaha

By the lick of his paws, it sounds like little Pluto will be okay and saved by Clyde's Animal Hospital in Mattoon!! Yippeee!! Unfortunately though, Pluto still has to remain caged with a towel over it for 2 more weeks until all his vitamin K medicine is gone!! Boo hiss!! He can get out on a leash and go for a walk or hang out as long as he is not running, jumping, barking, or getting excited, which as we all know is very hard for him to do, but he is hanging in there. He definitely is down to 8 lives now....are dogs like cats?? Thank you Joel for all your advice and information...it was much much appreciated and we learned a lot!! Thanks again!

Pluto's cage that has to be covered up all the time to keep him quiet and calm.

Pluto very sad in his cage...but to my surprise, he is tolerating it very well!!

Pluto enjoying his every 3 hour adventure outside for a few minutes.

Drilling for Tyra's science test, I think Bradyn got tired hearing, "A large ball of ice and dust that orbits around the sun?" I look up and he is sitting there with his fingers inside his ears with his huge scowl on his face. I think had Bradyn been able to speak, he probably could have answered the question by probably the 50th time. By the way, the answer to that in case you were wondering.......comet.

Sleepy Bradyn

Poor Brady was so tired and trying to keep up with the girls that he just wiped out during dinner!! It was so funny!

Dad's Home

Dad comes home and boy did we keep him busy!! We had a family clean and organize day on Sunday, of course right before Dad leaves....we would hate for him to feel left out wouldn't we!! We put back together the bunk beds that have been split up for a while, sorted, hung up clothes, etc., etc. Nice and clean now, almost look like different rooms even!!

Bradyn enjoying playing with his sisters American Girl doll desk.

Jim got out the Moon Shoes box (thanks Dear) and put the Moon Shoes together for the girls to play with. Apparently, he thought that would be a good indoor thing to do since it was raining and he was leaving!! Mental note: Outside use only!!

Bradyn running from Tyra chasing him with the Moon Shoes on.

We all had so much fun cleaning that Bradyn simply couldn't stay awake to eat his food (see video above)!

Treat time....sugar cookies and we iced and decorated. We had much messy fun with this as you can tell.

Mess, mess, and more mess!!

My high strung little ankle biter, Pluto, Saturday night sometime hurt himself. We are not exactly sure what happened, however, he does not have much interest in walking, running, chasing the cats, biting ankles, barking, or anything!! He hurt his right shoulder and it is swollen and he keeps choking, etc. Don't know what happened, but we are going to the doc first thing in the morning....stay tuned....!
Update: Unfortunately, it is confirmed that Pluto got into some rat poisoning and must have at least ate enough that made him sick...very sick! His right lung is filled with blood and he is gagging with a choking sensation. Right leg is also swollen from the blood pooling in his lung. The vet has him in the ICU there and is giving him vitamin K, Lasix, pain medicine, and antibiotics as he did have a fever of 103 yesterday. They said if he can pull through this, it would take about 6 weeks of vitamin K doses and being very quiet and laid back and not running around to get him back to "normal." His blood clotting time was 120, which the normal is the same in humans, 6 to 10 seconds, so obviously his was extremely high, hence the pooling of blood inside his right lung. Vet said it was a positive thing in that the blood was pooling in the lung and not throughout the chest cavity and body as that would be bad, so that is at least a positive thing and it is only in 1 lung and not both so positive at that as well.
Please keep Pluto in your prayers for us!!

4-Wheelin'

Took a trip to Wal-Mart today and came back with Bradyn's new toy that he just had to have and threw such the biggest, yet cutest fit ever that I couldn't help but to buy it for him. Yet, however, he can't figure out how to push and hold the button down in order to get it to move and stay moving. He found a better way to play with his 4-wheeler, which is to push Jimissy on it. I have to say that I was quite impressed to see that a 17-1/2 month old is about to push this plus Jimissy on it who weighs about 37 pounds! Must get the muscles from me, LOL!! Pushing so hard that he almost pushed himself out of his pants even!

Wow, was it so nice to have the kids outside today enjoying the weather. I sure wish this rain would stay away so we could have more days like this as the kids just drop like flies when they get inside. Jimissy took Bradyn on a 4-wheeler ride. It was pretty noisy for him at first, but I think he got used to it. Tyra was off digging holes out by the field, so I did not manage to grab her pix. Bradyn had fun chasing the basketball and kicking it. It was a wonderful day out and we all enjoyed ourselves very much!

Pluto had his very first play date with Chief. They had a blast. We discovered Pluto might be little and loud, however, a big weenie when it comes to self-defense or another dog....a dog even smaller than him (for now)!!! They made it look like a dog track in our kitchen and a blur at times, hence, not so good pixs because they would not sit still long enough to get one. The girls loved playing with Chief and offered to dog sit of course at any time! Thanks Nana and Papa for bringing Chief over to play!
