Sold!!!

Oh, the sweet words of SOLD!!! Sold to the bidder of $1800.00!!! What a blissful day. A jeep sunk in flood water and much hard work from Jim and some side info help from my step-dad, he got it back up and running. Running descent except for a hint smell of mud, wet dog smell, and some slight electrical "issues," this fine kid has a wonderful Jeep Cherokee Limited all to himself. Jim took a "test ride" with them....the first time was around the block. They come back later with 2 women to give a down payment of 200 dollars so we would not sell it to anyone else (like we had a ton of people waiting in line or something for this). They come back at 10:30 the next night and want to test drive it again!! Needless to say, Jim was a bit hesitant of going and thinking they were going around the block again only to come and find out that he was getting a drive to the west side of Rockford. Jim asked where they were going (forgot to mention this...) and the kid in the back that could speak "the best" English said to get him money. Jim was sitting in the front seat leaning against the door ready to kick the Jeep off the road in case they tried to "do something." Needless to say, they were honest and despite the "English barrier," we had them sign the back of the Jeep flood picture that we did inform them (no clue if they understood or not) of the Labor Day Flood and that the Jeep was in it. He wanted it and gave us the cash in all 50 dollar bills. They picked it up and us and our 2 neighbors just laughed as they drove away with our Jeep wondering why they really wanted it. We thought for sure that the red truck would have sold before the Jeep would have!! I took a picture of Jim and the kid that bought it.....the ONLY thing we know for a fact he understood.....Jim told him that I wanted a pix of them and the Jeep for my flood album and the kid had no clue what I was saying, but seen me standing there with the camera and pointing to the Jeep for them to get in the pix....Jim whispers silently to the kid "She is loco," and the kid started laughing!!

Our proud new owner, Mr. Jorge Juarez

Bradyn decided that he was not going to take a nap today as he needed to see what all of this noise was coming from outside with all of these kids, so we took a walk to see what was going on..

I went to sit down on this sleeper chair to talk to the neighbor, and Bradyn and I went sailing backwards. Apparently, it does not lay flat anymore and the moment we sat on it we went a flying!!
The girls decided that they needed every kid on the block over to play and then to add to the mix, they added grandkids that were at our neighbor's house. My cousin Libby has been here helping with the kids as we are busy getting stuff packed up, and I think they have been driving her nuts!!

Another week in packing and getting ready to move. We have been having a hard time keeping the girls busy as I have been informed that I have packed up all of their stuff and they are board!! Here are a few pixs from this week.
Chloe is now prepared for the move with all of the extra fur off and ready to go on a mouse hunt!
The packing must have been too much for Pluto and Jimissy as they pooped out on us!!

He is finding great pleasure at throwing his HoneyComb into my box packed of dishes!

Keeping Bradyn busy while we are packing today.

Bradyn has found a great interest in knowing that he will draw my attention when he goes to reach for the tree next to the chair and finds it very funny when he gets caught trying to grab the leaves off.

Here is Bradyn passed out with a truck on him.

Tyra did not participate in my pixs lately as she has been outside a lot making her last playing times with the neighbors and at summer school, which the teacher says she is the A1 model for school kids....still trying to figure out if we are talking about the same kid...ha ha!! She has tried to convince us that she needs glasses and failed the eye exam, however, today when I went to the school for her to do the eye exam for me...she says, "Well mom, I guess my eyes are working today and not the last time." We still had fun doing the eye test again though and we believe that she does not need glasses!!

July 4th

Sorry, just had to sneak this one in. Pluto loves riding in the car. We take the basket with us whenever we take him and he just lays on his back the whole way and loves it!!

Pluto stayed home for the fireworks...I figured that I would be quite a mess if we took him since he did not pull through the thunderstorm very well and wanting to use the bathroom!

Jim is trying to keep the "excited" kids under control as they are nodding off!!

Mom and Bradyn and Uncle Tim

I still cannot get over this......BOTH SLEEPING DURING A FINALE!!!

Busting hump to get work done for the big evening of the fireworks!! Nothing heard more all day than "is it time to go yet, now is it time to go yet"...on and on and on!! So...nowhere to park and we had to end up parking about 10 to 12 blocks away and the girls were just ready to die. Get there and get situated and find Karen and Tim and still the girls nagging about when it was going to start. Bradyn is bouncing all over the place with Jim and I nervous for the first fireworks for him and forgot his pacifier in the van (no way either one of us was going to walk back for that). The fireworks start and after about 10 minutes into it....Tyra asleep and about 10 minutes later....Jimissy asleep. Bradyn was the only one that stayed awake for it, but he would not watch it as he was too interested in all the hundreds of people behind us with glow necklaces, bracelets, etc., on and walking all over the place with an occasional look and bounce to the fireworks. What an evening. This event was very comparable to Jim taking the girls to the AirFest and Tyra falling asleep on the cement with ear plugs in while the B-52 bombers were flying over and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels!!

Even Bradyn thought that Libby Lu was just an awesome place!! I am sure he would have loved the make-up, wigs, fingernail polish, and dream glitter also!!

Is this Hannah Montanna heaven??

Amazing what wigs, make-up, and a microphone can do for little girls!!

The long day is finally over with a double thumbs up!!

Libby Lu is a store inside the local mall that is new. The girls had been asking to go and they got gift cards to go there and boy was that a treat for them!!! Smiles for hours and hours!!

Bradyn trying to sneek in a nap, but not working out well at all

We all had a wonderful time swimming at Fred and Becky's house. Becky taught Tyra and Jimissy floating on their backs and tummies. They had a wonderful time and definitely want to go back and visit again.

Here is Part 2 to the AirFest...some of these pictures are really NOT what I was expecting to see for "dress-up!!"

What a time....the Airfest 2007. It was a dad's day out with the girlies......all day event. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels were there and much more. Tyra fell asleep on the ground with earplugs while Jimissy and other cousins hooted about wanting to leave. Fun day I think for all, but just a little too long!!

We R Moving!!!

Just found out recently that we will be moving back home to the old farm house in Mattoon. Moving is scheduled to start in July and be down there for good the 27th!!
