Here are some pixs of the puppy that we are getting Memorial weekend.  Our friend Tania had boxer puppies, and we thought Pluto seems a little depressed after Chief not being here that often and having a buddy to sling him around the yard.  We think this will be a great depression fix for him!!

After Tyra informing us that "we make her nervous," we made a deal with her that we would not watch her while she performed.  We made our way to the cafeteria and got a bite to munch on and when we returned just in time for the final scoring, Tyra came away with two 1st places and a 2nd place!!!  We were all thrilled.  Before, Tyra would "freeze and forget" all of the stuff that she knew how to do, so it was very exciting for Tyra!!  Jimissy did fabulous as well with also coming in with two 1st places and a 2nd place.  Way to go girls!!

1st place in weapons and sparring and 2nd place in forms!!

1st place in weapons and sparring and 2nd place in forms!!

Only pix of Tyra since we were not allowed to watch, but she was receiving the scores!

Bradyn and Jimissy watching some other kids spar.

I happened to be outside a few weeks ago enjoying a beautiful sunset with Pluto when I heard this squalling noise.  After listening to it for a while, I decided that I must go and inspect.  To my surprise, I found a poor little baby bunny with a weasel on its back in the process of killing the poor little bunny.  I will spare the pixs of the bunny here, but here is our new "fugly family addition!"  We are hoping to catch it in a trap as he appears to be living under our deck.  That would make for a nice surprise when we have people over when he decides to come out and greet everybody!!

Another year goes by and Jimissy is now 7 years old!!  We went to the skating rink in Mattoon and all appeared to have enjoyed themselves.  No broken bones, but probably LOTS of bruises.  The kids all enjoyed also the new "playground" that they had installed since our last visit there...especially Bradyn since I did not feel comfortable putting skates on his little feet yet!  Happy 7th Birthday Jimissy!!!!

What a beautiful day to beg Papa and Nana for a ride in the new side car on the bike!! The girls had a ball of a time. Our greatest laugh of the afternoon came when we put the helmet on Bradyn. He was so top heavy that he looked like a Weeble Wobble and all I could think of was that song! He had to borrow Jimissy's pink Barbie shades for the ride, but as you can tell by the pixs....he didn't mind a bit!! Thanks Papa for the ride....we ALL loved it!!!!!! I also think Papa and Nana will have some chronic riders fighting for Chief's spot as Bradyn keeps saying, "Papa ride...peeeez!"

Saddened Me...

Today, I was watching my daily most favorite TV show of The Doctors.  I was absolutely floored when they aired today a restaurant in Texas called The Heart Attack Grill.  It sparked my interested, so I had to take off my headphones and listen.  This place is an actual restaurant with "skimpy" dressed nurses, or waitresses as they called themselves, and a menu that just gave me chest pain looking at it.  They have bypass burgers, double bypass burgers, and down the line, flatline fries deep fried in 100% lard.  They said their burgers after 8000 calories total with 4000 calories being of fat.  The provide wheelchairs to people when they leave if they eat a certain number of calories, etc.  I am just floored as to who would own/operate a restaurant and can only imagine the publicity that this place has received.

Here is their website to check out...again, I had to check it out as I could not believe what I was hearing on TV and when I looked at the website, I think my eyes gave a new term to "bulging out of their head!"

I think I even have to take a Tums now and go for a run after typing this!!

Can somebody be on the lookout for me in the local newspaper?  The girls will be in there sometime between Friday (20th) and Monday(23rd) ....they think.  When they were at the karate tournament, they took pixs of all the kids with their trophies and it is going to be in the paper.  We do not get the paper and usually by the time I get to Wal-Mart, the paper is gone already.  So if somebody could save it for me....that would be great!!  Thanks!

This past weekend, Jim's parents and his niece Madalyn came to visit and to help out with Jim being down.  We went out to eat Valentine's Day dinner at Cody's.  Don't ask how the service was!!  While we were at dinner, the kids all went to a karate party for 4 hours!  Needless to say when we picked them all up, they were absolutely wiped out!!  His parents got a new puppy and as you can tell from the pixs, he was just Bradyn's size...carried him around everywhere!!  We had the unfortunate news that while they were here, Jim's dad was helping him outside and rolled his ankle off the end of the concrete and ended up breaking it!  We feel so bad and Wilson we hope you get feeling better soon!  Now we will have to come and wait on you!!

Thursday morning, Jim went to Effingham to have his knee surgery.  He recovered "fairly uneventfully" minus some mole hills along the way.  I should have had him talk to Gpa Max as to what to expect after a surgery and what to do beforehand and what not to do!!  Thank you everybody for your calls and emails and to Mom and Phillip for helping out with the kids while I was in Effingham with Jim!!

Bowling was the top priority to Tyra for her 10th birthday.  They had great fun; however, I learned my lesson with bowling...don't do that many kids next time unless they know how to bowl.  Thank you to Kaye, Dad, and Jessica who helped out with all the kids and figuring out what to do.  The kids all had a great time...and better yet...none of them stayed at our house this time!!  Happy 10th birthday Tyra!!!
