This past weekend, Jim and I had the McIntyre family at our house. We had a great time visiting with everybody. Uncle and Aunt Jim and Betty from Indiana, Uncle and Aunt Dan and June from Missouri, Jim's parents Wilson and Norma from IL, Jim's sister's little girl Rachael, and on Saturday Jim's sister-in-law and niece Tracy and Madalyn joined us and spent the night. We all had a great time and lots of food, swimming, and fun. Saturday, we went to Rockhome Gardens and then to the old Burger King in Mattoon for somewhat of a late lunch and ice cream. Sunday morning, we all met at Steak n' Shake in Mattoon for breakfast and then said our good-byes until probably October when we will all meet in southern Illinois at St. Francisville for the Chestnut Festival and parade. Thank you everybody for the great time!!

What more fun than the above is there to do on a Saturday afternoon in central Illinois?

Carla, what an exciting time for the other side of your Family. It is great that you all could get to gether and enjoy some of the things of the area that we take for granted too often. Congratulations on pulling this off!

Yes, it was definitely a good time. Jim's uncle made a video of family pixs and shared it, grilling out, swimming, telling old stories and new stories, and seeing family that we do not get to see often enough. I am glad we were able to pull it together on a month's notice and had the turnout that we did! We had a great time. Maybe next time we could do it with the Miller family!
